The main mineral phase of zircon corundum is a-Al2O3 and Al2O3 ZrO2 eutectic. The black corundum melting point of Al2O3 is 2050 ℃, and that of ZrO2 is 2690 ℃. When the temperature reaches the eutectic point, the liquid phase disappears and becomes alo-zro2 eutectic. In order to ensure the quality of green carborundum, in addition to adding microcrystalline accelerant and using quench technology to promote its microcrystallization, desilication is also needed in smelting.
