Similar mud is used to plug the slag outlet(pink aluminum oxide). Blast furnace gun mud shall have enough high fire resistance, and shall have the following properties: good plasticity and cohesiveness, easy to squeeze in and fill in the voids and cracks; suitable porosity, easy to discharge water when drying(synthetic corundum); small volume shrinkage at high temperature to avoid cracks; good sintering performance, erosion resistance and corrosion resistance.
