The basic factor determining the refractoriness is the chemical mineral composition and distribution of the material(brown aluminum oxide 80 grit). The refractoriness of refractories is usually indicated by the cone number of standard temperature measuring cone. The load applied on the sample is 0.2MPa(white fused alumina abrasives). The sample used is a cylinder with a central hole, a height of 50 mm and a central hole diameter of 12-13 mm.
